I'm not sure if this is true, but when the DKC graphics were made, I heard they took pictures of a 3D model for each of the positions. After that they were scanned into the computer and given color to give the graphics their 3D appearance.

If this is true, is it possible that the Donkey Kong and Swanky were the same model?
